MIDI Keyboard: Mechanical Drawing

This was a project I did during my time in the Digital Design & Development program at BCIT. We were tasked with creating a mechanical drawing of an object of our choice using various building & shading techniques and drawing on strategic use of gradients and refining my 3D spatial awareness and comprehension.

Below you can see the process I took when constructing my midi M-Audio Keystation; one of the ways I maintained balance during my intense studies in the middle of a global pandemic!

Astral Inner World

This vector graphics student project allowed me to let my creativity run wild in order to create a graphic representing my inner world. I particularly enjoy this image as it showcases a range of skills in Adobe Illustrator (and Photoshop), including heavy use of the pen tool, gradients and creating your own brushes. It also showcases my use of the colour palette, such as complementary colours and shading.

Astral Inner World: Illustrator

This vector graphics student project allowed me to let my creativity run wild in order to create a graphic representing my inner world. GEORGE JONES Digital Portrait

This was a piece that I did as a gift, which eventually was printed on a 16″ x 20″ canvas.

I used the real real photo of George (see below) and worked through the various tones in the photo in order to divide the image into 3 coloured sections (white, blue and black). The colours used were chosen based on the person’s 3 favourite colours (Wine, Denim Blue and Golden Yellow).
